Professor Brian Lawlor – ‘Loneliness and Brain Health’

The Irish Gerontological Society and ALONE Ireland are delighted to announce that this year’s lecture at the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Irish Gerontological Society will be delivered by Professor Brian Lawlor. This is in recognition of the enormous contribution Professor Lawlor has made to dementia research, policy and practice in Ireland. The theme of this year’s lecture is entitled ‘Loneliness and Brain Health.’

Professor Brian Lawlor is a professor of old age psychiatry at Trinity College Dublin, and deputy executive director of the Global Brain Health Institute. He is a geriatric psychiatrist with an interest in dementia, late-life depression, loneliness and brain health.
