Midlands Area Meeting

Polio Survivors Ireland is holding a Midlands Area Information Meeting on Wednesday, September 23rdth, at Athlone Springs Hotel.

The meeting starts at 10.30 and includes two presentations, a light lunch and some information on our organisation.

The first presentation by Sinead Ryan, who is well known for her ‘Home Show’ on Newstalk every Saturday, and her Personal Finance and Consumer Columns in the Irish Independent, will be speaking about Wills & Inheritance Tax, Enduring Power of Attorney and the ‘Fair Deal’ Scheme.

The second presentation, on ‘Falls Prevention’, is by Occupational Therapist, Siobhan Banville. Siobhan has an excellent understanding of the issues and challenges that can affect polio survivors. Siobhan’s presentation and her ‘question and answers’ session will offer a valuable opportunity to get advice and answers to any OT related questions you may have.

We do still have some space for polio survivors to attend if you haven’t already registered.
