Anne Burns

A retired civil servant from County Louth, Anne has been involved with Polio Survivors Ireland since the early 2000s, serving on the Board and various committees. Her civil service background includes various departments, which has equipped her with strong skills in organisational development, while years of volunteering with Polio Survivors Ireland has added to her experience of lobbying and campaigning on behalf of polio survivors. Anne brings solid financial insight, having worked with budgets and figures during her civil service career. She has been secretary & treasurer of a choir, organising trips around Ireland.

Within Polio Survivors Ireland, Anne has helped lead publicity and fundraising efforts, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Anne has a wide range of experience in the public sector and within Polio Survivors Ireland which she believes will greatly benefit the organisation.
