Maintaining the independence and dignity of polio survivors
We are the only organisation in Ireland providing practical support (and a listening ear) to people who had polio as babies or young children. Approximately 5,000 polio survivors in Ireland live with Post Polio Syndrome or Late Effects of Polio and have increasing needs as they age. With over 1,000 members, Polio Survivors Ireland works to ensure that survivors get proper support, services and information necessary to maintain their independence and dignity.
