Organ Donation Law Update
The law around organ donation is changing. From 17 June, every adult will be considered an organ donor when they die, unless they opt out on the HSE opt-out register or are in one of the excluded groups.
•Organ donation saves and transforms lives
•From 17 June, you will be considered to consent to become an organ donor unless you opt out
•If you wish to become an organ donor, it is important that you discuss your wishes with your next of kin so they can honour them
•Your family or next of kin will always be consulted if you‘ve not opted out
•Organ donation is your choice and you can find out more and opt out at www.hse.ie
