Membership & Volunteer Recruitment Officer (Part-Time)

Fixed Term Contract

The Post Polio Support Group wishes to recruit a part-time Membership & Volunteer Recruitment Officer (18 Hours per week) to recruit new members to the Group and increase active members and volunteers within the organisation.

The Post Polio Support Group was established by Polio Survivors to assist their fellow survivors, particularly in relation to the Late Effects of Polio and Post Polio Syndrome. The Group has over 900 members throughout the country.

Regular travel around the Republic of Ireland will be required. Some evening and occasional weekend work is also involved. Please note this is a fixed purpose contract up to the 31st March, 2017.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Increase the Post Polio Support Group’s membership

·         Recruit, train & support active members and volunteers

·         Support the development of organisational structures and communication and co-ordination between structures within the Post Polio Support Group

Person Specification:

·         Experience of recruiting members and/or supporters to a non-profit organisation

·         Experience of recruiting volunteers and active members within an organisation

·         Experience of supporting and developing volunteers and active members

·         Strong organisational development skills

·         Highly organised individual with ability to manage own time and multi-task

·         A full clean licence and own car is essential
