New role: Advocacy Officer
Advocacy & Policy Officer position recruiting now.
Two year fixed term position.
Polio Survivors Ireland wishes to recruit a part time Advocacy & Policy Officer (18 ½ Hours per week), working within a hybrid schedule between our office in Dublin and home on a rotating basis.
The Advocacy & Policy Officer will develop policy proposals, and advocate and campaign with the staff team on key issues affecting the quality of life of polio survivors. Many issues facing survivors relate to public policy, statutory services and social welfare benefits.
Key responsibilities include analysis of public policy, research, collaboration with other relevant organisations, and organisation of meetings to discuss polio related issues and to advocate on behalf of survivors.
Essential specification include educated to degree level, OR 3 years advocacy experience in Ireland; understanding of current policy issues in Irish setting OR experience of public policy analysis; research experience OR consultation experience relating to policy and policy issues. Excellent communications, presentation and English writing skills with competency in MS Office and other platforms.
Salary
€22,000 per annum for 18 ½ hours, plus pension contribution of 7% following successful completion of probationary period

Reports to the CEO of Polio Survivors Ireland
