50 Plus Expo at the RDS

Polio Survivors Ireland took a stand at the 50 Plus Expo in the RDS, Dublin recently, and were joined by numerous volunteers, who kindly helped us to highlight the charity and the work we do during this three day event.

As well as asking people who came to the stand, whether they knew someone who had polio, we had the opportunity to let people know about the polio register – particularly by linking into the other organisations that were exhibiting. We got plenty of photos and were able to do lots of ‘sharing’ on social media, which again increased our profile. We met some new members and we also managed to fit in our World Polio Day photo shoot. Huge thanks to everyone who helped or contributed time over the weekend.
